Pumps

Pumping systems consist of pumps, motors/drivers, pipe installation, valves and controls (such as ASDs or throttles).  Pump is the main device in a pumping system that uses energy from the electric motor or other drivers such as diesel engine or steam engine. It increases the mechanical energy of a fluid and imparts the fluid a motion through pipe, equipment or to the open. The energy increase may be used to increase the velocity, the pressure or the elevation of the fluid. Pumps come in a variety of sizes for a wide range of applications.
